Isaac and I are just hanging out together on the chair and I thought I would write about something funny he's been doing the past couple of days. For my birthday my best friend gave me a singing birthday card that sings the theme song to Toy Story, You've Got a Friend In Me. The card has 2 puppies on the front of it and I have this card sitting out on one of the shelves by our desk area in our house. For the past couple of days Isaac has been going over to the desk and pointing up to the shelves. We couldn't figure out what he was pointing to as almost everything on these shelves would be completely boring to a child, but then I saw the card so I go it down for him and he started hysterically crying so I put it back up there but then he started pointing up there again and this time I opened it so it sang the song and he started crying even harder. We just ignored it for the rest of the day, but he would still stand there pointing until we got this card down. So the next day he went over to the desk again and started pointing up so this time I gave the card to him and he whimpered a little and sat there staring at it for awhile not knowing what he wanted to do. He finally opens it and it starts singing, and he screams, drops the card and takes off running and crying the other way. It was hard for Gary and I to stop laughing as his scream sounded more like a scream that should have come from a girl. I'm not sure why this card freaks him out so much as he has many books that start singing when you flip them open. Today he went over to the desk again and pointed so we got the card down again and we sat on the couch with it for about 20 minutes and he kept flipping it open and closed so we heard the song about a hundred times today, so I think its safe to say the card is no longer freaking him out. Now he's walking around with it and it's probably gone through the song about 50 times and I'm wondering, this thing has to run out of batteries soon, right?!?! Because now he cries if I take it away. :)
